About Esther

Esther is a registered counselor and HRD Corp-certified trainer with a passion for mental health, psychological well-being, and experiential learning. She brings a deep understanding of human behavior, emotional well-being, and interpersonal dynamics into every space she facilitates. With four years of counseling experience, she has supported individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, stress, relationships, and personal growth, shaping her empathetic and insight-driven approach.

During her counseling training, Esther worked with clients, primarily young to mid-career adults, facing a range of challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, career uncertainties, and relationship issues. She has also facilitated group counseling sessions for teenagers and  adults, supporting them with self-esteem, identity development, and life direction concerns.

Building on this foundation, Esther has over five years of experience teaching Psychology at HELP University, where she worked closely with students from diverse backgrounds, further strengthening her ability to engage and connect with varied audiences.

This combined experience naturally extends into her work as an HRD Corp-certified trainer, where she has facilitated trainings and workshops for both corporate and educational settings. She has facilitated workshops on stress management, mental health, team communication, collaboration, and problem-solving, using strengths-based frameworks for organizations such as ISEC and ABB Malaysia. Her facilitation also integrates expressive arts methodologies, creating reflective and engaging spaces that support deeper self-awareness, emotional insight, and personal growth. In addition, she runs expressive arts workshops and has collaborated with organisations such as Sepi Studio, facilitating both group and one-on-one sessions in weekend-based expressive arts experiences. Besides corporate organisations, she has also provide workshops in school-based settings, including Nobel International School, engaging diverse groups of students. Her approach is grounded in translating complex psychological concepts into accessible and meaningful learning experiences that enhance communication, strengthen team dynamics, and build both individual and collective capacity.

At the core of her work, Esther remains deeply rooted in her identity as a counselor. She believes that while the counseling process can feel challenging, it also holds the potential to be a deeply enriching journey - one that, when embraced with openness and trust, allows healing and growth to unfold naturally.

Areas of expertise: counselling, mental health screenings, art therapy, expressive and creative wellbeing workshops and trainings
