About the event

This training introduces educators and professionals working with children to the intentional use of narrative and puppetry-based strategies to support children who experience emotional overwhelm and behavioural challenges. Grounded in developmental psychology and play-based intervention principles, this workshop demonstrates how stories and puppets can be used as effective tools to promote emotional regulation, communication, and adaptive behaviour.

Participants will engage in a balance of theory, demonstration, and hands-on practice, gaining practical strategies that can be applied across educational, therapeutic, and small-group settings. The training emphasises developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
