About Naziah
My name is Naziah Yacob, and I am currently a Clinical Psychology trainee undergoing my practicum. This journey into the field of mental health is not just a professional path for me rather it’s a calling rooted in empathy, lived experience, and a deep reverence for the resilience of the human spirit.

I have always been drawn to people’s inner worlds, the unspoken pain, the quiet courage, and the everyday battles they carry with them. It has taught me that healing doesn't always come in grand gestures, but often in the gentle unfolding of trust, presence, and the simple act of being heard. As a therapist-in-training, I hold sacred the privilege of sitting beside someone as they navigate the most vulnerable parts of their story.
One book that has deeply shaped the way I see people and pain is Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. His reflections on the importance of hope even in the darkest of times reminds me daily that we are not defined by our suffering, but by how we respond to it. In every session, carry the belief that even amidst emotional chaos or personal loss, there is always a spark of meaning to be found, and that hope can become an anchor when everything else feels uncertain.

My clinical interests include emotional regulation, trauma-informed care, and the psychological well-being of women and families. I’m especially passionate about creating a space that feels safe, nurturing, and collaborative, a space where clients can slowly explore their fears, reconnect with their strengths, and build the life they long for, one step at a time.

Outside of therapy, I’m a mother, a dreamer, and someone who finds joy in small, grounding things like a warm cup of tea, the sound of rain, and witnessing someone discover their own inner light. I hope to carry this same warmth into my work with each client, offering not just techniques or insight, but a relationship rooted in authenticity, respect, and compassion.
This practicum marks a significant chapter in my journey as a clinical psychologist, and I am grateful for the trust placed in me to walk alongside others in theirs.
Areas of expertise: psychotherapy, clinical screenings and assessments
